In case you don't know, this is the logo used for Silicon Graphics machines. I had the exciting opportunity to approach such beasts and participate an animation project during my computer science studies (The very best remembering from that particular year). If you take a careful look at how's it's been conceived, you'll immediately notice it's a 3D shape that's made of just one piece and that it covers every edge of a cube without passing them twice (Eulerian path in english?). The point of view also emphasizes the internal symmetry and adds up very much to the logo. Not in the typical Escher's style, but definitely worth a look.
